
Benhachem: "We Aim for Wins in First Three Matches to Avoid Fatigue, International Break for Physical Rebuilding and Friendlies"
Wydad AC coach Amin Benhachem confirmed that his team aims to secure a strong start in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, following their 3-0 victory over Kenya's Nairobi United on Sunday.
Benhachem stated after the match, “We will try to secure nine points in the first three games to manage the remaining fixtures and avoid fatigue.”
The Wydad coach also spoke about the preparation program during the break, explaining, “We will dedicate the break period in Morocco to physical preparation, utilizing the sea, forests, and strength training facilities, to rebuild the players’ physical condition.”
He continued, “The second phase will be an external training camp where we will play some friendly matches. Then we will return to Morocco and play two more friendly games before entering the competitions.”
He revealed the details of the weekly program, saying, “We have set a program where Tuesday will be a rest day dedicated to travel. On Wednesday, God willing, we will arrive and have an evening session to regain freshness, and Thursday’s session will be dedicated to working on some specific details.”
