Wydad Athletic Club will kick off their journey in the CAF Confederation Cup this Sunday evening when they host Kenyan side Nairobi United in the first round of the continental competition's group stage.
The Red Castle enters the match with ambitions of achieving an ideal start to the competition, leveraging the support of their fans and home advantage to secure their first three points and boost their chances of reaching the advanced stages.
Wydad returns to Africa's second-tier continental competition after a 12-year absence, with their last participation in the Confederation Cup dating back to 2013.
It is worth noting that Group B includes, alongside Wydad, Maniema Union from DR Congo, Tanzania's Azam United, and Kenya's Nairobi United.
