Maniema Union Kicks Off Confederation Cup Campaign with 2-0 Win Over Azam

Maniema Union of Congo began their journey in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage with a 2-0 victory over Tanzania's Azam FC. This group also includes Wydad AC and Nairobi of Kenya.
Balako Christian Banzi opened the scoring for Maniema Union in the 43rd minute, with Shadouma Uzumi adding a second goal in the 85th minute of the match. These goals secured the Congolese side's first victory in the group stage.
The first round of the group stage will conclude when Wydad AC hosts Nairobi United at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, starting at 8:00 PM (GMT+1).
