Maniema Coach on Wydad Clash: "We Face an African Giant and Are Ready"

Papie Kimoto, coach of Congolese club Maniema Union, confirmed that his team will prepare thoroughly to face the continent's top clubs in the CAF Confederation Cup, notably Wydad AC.

Kimoto stated in remarks published on the official CAF website: "I am very happy; we now know our opponents in the group stage. These are very talented teams, and each of them deserved their place just like us."

He added: "We will face an African giant, Wydad AC, a team we respect greatly. There is also Azam FC, who despite their first participation, are very well organized this season, and Nairobi United, who eliminated Tunisian giant Etoile du Sahel. These teams must be taken seriously."

Kimoto concluded his statement with a message to the fans: "We are excited and ready to face this challenge."
