Wydad AC began their journey in the CAF Confederation Cup with a 3-0 victory over Kenyan visitors Nairobi United. The match took place on Sunday evening as part of the first round of the group stage.
The "Red Castle" opened the scoring early through Ayoub Boushta in the third minute of the first half. The encounter was hosted at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
Wydad AC extended their lead with a second goal in the 44th minute, scored by Mohamed Bouchouari. His teammate Mohamed El Raihy then added the third goal in the 86th minute.
With this result, Wydad AC sits at the top of Group A with three points, while Nairobi United is at the bottom of the group with no points.
