Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat Wins "Stadium of the Year 2025" Award
The 16th edition of the "Stadium of the Year" competition, organized by StadiumDB.com, a website specializing in sports stadium news, rankings, and designs worldwide, has concluded. The award is presented annually to the best stadium.
Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat topped the list of winners with 14,481 points. Grand Stade de Tanger in Tangier secured second place with 10,453 points, while Claro Arena in Santiago finished third with 10,318 points.
In related news, Moulay El Hassan Stadium ranked fifth, while the City Stadium in Rabat took seventh place, and the Olympic Stadium came in ninth.
The competition saw extensive participation from stadium architecture enthusiasts worldwide, with 7,451 voters casting their opinions to evaluate 28 stadiums that opened globally in 2025.
Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, the award winner, symbolizes Morocco's significant investment in sports infrastructure in preparation for hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup finals. The new national stadium in Rabat was constructed between 2023 and 2025, has a capacity of approximately 69,500 spectators, and is part of a larger sports complex that includes an indoor sports hall, an athletics track, and an Olympic swimming pool.
The stadium features steep stands very close to the pitch, enhancing the atmosphere, while its illuminated facade and modern infrastructure meet the highest standards of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
