Yannick Ferrera (Belgian Coach): "Wahbi is an Excellent and Intelligent Coach, the Timing is Very Suitable to Lead the Atlas Lions, and There's No Risk to His Career"
Former Zamalek coach, Belgian Yannick Ferrera, confirmed that he has known the new national coach, Mohamed Wahbi, for nearly 20 years, having worked together at Belgian club Anderlecht and Fath Union Sport (FUS).
Speaking in an interview with the "Hat-trick" program on Egypt's ON TV channel, Ferrera stated: "The most important thing that distinguishes Mohamed is his personality before football. On the human side, he is a very kind person who loves his players, and the players also love him. He cares deeply about them, and this is very important."
He added: "From a technical standpoint, he is an excellent coach. He excels at organizing the team and always ensures that every player is in their correct position and moving in the right direction. He is also very humble and very intelligent, knowing what he wants and what needs to be done. He is capable of bringing important ideas to the Moroccan national team."
Ferrera continued: "Regarding his appointment to lead the senior national team before the World Cup, following his great success with the youth team, I believe the timing is very suitable and poses no risk to his professional career. This is a tremendous opportunity for him, regardless of the World Cup results."
Yannick Ferrera concluded by saying: "His career will undoubtedly continue, and he deserves this step after the outstanding work he has done with the youth team."
