Nigeria Dominates Mozambique 4-0 to Reach AFCON 2025 Quarter-Finals

The Nigerian national team secured their spot in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025" after defeating their Mozambican counterparts four goals to nil. The match took place this Monday evening as part of the tournament's round of 16.

The "Green Eagles" asserted their dominance from the opening minutes, with Nigeria leading two goals to nil by the end of the first half.

Ademola Lookman opened the scoring in the 20th minute, before Victor Osimhen doubled the lead in the 25th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Lookman.

In the second half, the Nigerian team continued their attacking prowess, with Osimhen adding the third goal in the 47th minute and Akor Adams scoring the fourth in the 75th minute, further cementing their control over the match.

In the AFCON quarter-finals, Nigeria will face the winner of the match between DR Congo and Algeria, scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, at 17:00 GMT+1.
