AFCON 2025: Nigeria Defeats Tunisia (3-2) to Secure Top Spot and Qualification for Round of 16

The Nigerian national team secured a 3-2 victory over their Tunisian counterparts in a match held as part of the second round of Group C in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The match saw a strong start from Nigeria, with Victor Osimhen scoring a goal in the 17th minute, only for it to be disallowed by the referee for offside.

The "Green Eagles" continued their pressure until Osimhen successfully opened the scoring in the 44th minute, ending the first half with Nigeria leading 1-0.

As the second half began, the Nigerian team maintained their dominance, with Wilfred Ndidi adding the second goal in the 50th minute, further strengthening his team's advantage.

Nigeria's attacking momentum did not stop there, as Ademola Lookman scored the third goal in the 67th minute. In the 75th minute, Tunisia managed to reduce the deficit through Montassar Talbi, before Ali Abdi scored the "Carthage Eagles'" second goal from a penalty kick in the 87th minute.

With this victory, the Nigerian national team increased their points tally to 6, topping Group C and securing their qualification for the next round, while the Tunisian national team remained on 3 points.
