
Nigeria Defeats Uganda 3-1, Finishes Group Stage with Perfect Nine Points
The Nigerian national team defeated their Ugandan counterparts 3-1 in a match held at the Fez Stadium, as part of the final round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage.
Nigeria opened the scoring in the 28th minute through Paul Onuachu. Uganda's Salim Magoola then received a red card in the 56th minute.
Nigeria capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Raphael Onyedika scoring their second goal in the 62nd minute, followed by his second and Nigeria's third in the 67th minute.
Uganda managed to pull a goal back in the 75th minute through Mato Rogers, but the match concluded with Uganda's elimination from the group stage.
With this victory, Nigeria solidified their position at the top of Group C with a perfect nine points. Tunisia finished second with four points, followed by Tanzania in third with two points, and Uganda in last place with one point.
