FIFA Launches Fan Name Display Service on Scoreboard or Player Tunnel Carpet for $79 and $160
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has introduced a new initiative to encourage fans to spend money during the 2026 World Cup by displaying their names on giant screens.
FIFA announced its new plan yesterday, Monday, aimed at enhancing the fan experience during the World Cup and prompting them to spend more. Fans will be able to book a specific time slot to have their names displayed on the scoreboard during matches.
The international federation stated on its official website that the new "Super Shootout" service offers every fan the opportunity to display their name on the stadium's scoreboard during ongoing matches. It suggested that interested individuals select a specific match and reserve a designated time for this.
Through this initiative, FIFA aims to improve the fan experience and generate additional revenue. Those interested can display their names, with a maximum of 30 characters, for a fee of no less than $79.
Among other services FIFA is marketing for the 2026 World Cup is the option to display fan names on the carpet that players will walk on when exiting the dressing room and entering the pitch. This experience is offered for $160.
