
Wahbi Grants Moroccan Squad Day Off After Norway Friendly Ahead of Brazil World Cup Clash
Mohammed Wahbi, coach of the Moroccan national team, granted his players a day of rest following their 1-1 draw against Norway in a friendly match. This fixture was part of the Atlas Lions' preparations for the 2026 World Cup finals.
The national team players benefited from this rest day on Monday, with several members, including Aissa Diop, Chadi Riad, and Ayoub Bouadi, seen enjoying a tour of some of New York City's tourist attractions.
A number of Moroccan fans also took souvenir photos with the players in the famous Times Square, which saw a notable presence of Atlas Lions supporters.
The Moroccan national team will resume its preparations tomorrow, Tuesday, with a training session in anticipation of the upcoming match against Brazil.
Morocco is placed in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti. They will kick off their World Cup campaign against Brazil on June 13 at 23:00 (GMT+1).
