Wahbi on Brazil Clash: "Morocco Fears No Opponent, We Will Deliver a Strong Performance and Win"
Mohammed Wahbi, coach of the Moroccan national team, affirmed that his players are ready to deliver a strong performance in their opening World Cup match against Brazil, emphasizing that his goal for this encounter is to secure a victory.
Speaking at the press conference following the 1-1 draw against Norway, Wahbi stated: "We must maintain confidence in ourselves. I believe confidence is the key. Brazil possesses high-quality players, especially on the flanks, and players capable of making a difference individually."
He continued: "Therefore, I believe our collective defense will be the decisive factor. Brazil is a very strong team, hailing from a nation with a rich footballing heritage. However, Morocco is here today, and has been for a long time, to affirm its significant development at this level and show that it fears no opponent. We will prepare thoroughly."
Wahbi added: "The challenges Brazil will present will be different from those we faced against Norway, but we are ready. God willing, we will once again deliver a strong performance in the upcoming match and secure a victory; I certainly hope so."
Regarding the Moroccan supporters, he concluded: "Our fans bear a great responsibility, just like us within the technical staff, but they provide us with immense energy. We truly want to continue making our fans happy and allow them to experience special moments, and to raise the Moroccan flag high on the global stage. We have a strong and genuine desire to prove this, but the ultimate outcome always remains on the field of play."
