
Morocco Draws 1-1 with Norway in Final Friendly Before World Cup
The Moroccan national team drew 1-1 with their Norwegian counterparts in a friendly match played on Sunday, as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Atlas Lions took an early lead through Real Madrid player Brahim Díaz in the ninth minute.
During the first half of the encounter, held at the Sports Illustrated Stadium, Moroccan duo Noussair Mazraoui and Abde Ezzalzouli sustained injuries and were subsequently replaced by Youssef Belammari and Soufiane Rahimi.
After the break, Norway managed to equalize in the 75th minute through Arsenal player Martin Ødegaard. National coach Mohamed Wahbi had made numerous changes to the lineup.
Morocco is set to kick off their World Cup campaign on June 13 against Brazil in their opening group stage match, scheduled for 23:00 GMT+1.
