Ali Maamar: "We Are Ready for the World Cup and Will Do Everything to Make Moroccan People Happy"
Moroccan national team player Ali Maamar affirmed the Atlas Lions' readiness for the 2026 World Cup, emphasizing the players' collective desire to honor Moroccan football and bring joy to the fans.
Maamar stated in a post on his official Instagram account: "Let's do it together. We are ready for the World Cup, and we will do everything in our power to honor and make the Moroccan people happy. Dima Maghrib."
The Moroccan national team continues its preparations for the global competition with high ambitions of replicating the historic achievement of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they became the first African and Arab team to reach the tournament's semi-finals.
It is worth noting that Ali Maamar traveled with the Moroccan national team delegation to the United States, despite not being on the final squad list or the reserve list for the Atlas Lions participating in the 2026 World Cup.
The Moroccan national team is in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti. They will kick off their campaign against Brazil on June 13 at 23:00 (GMT+1).
