Ounahi: Pitch Condition, Heat, and Season's End Contributed to Injuries
Morocco national team player Azzedine Ounahi believes that his teammate Abde Ezzalzouli's injury is due to several factors, including the condition of the pitch where Morocco's friendly match against Norway was held.
Speaking to beIN Sports, Ounahi stated, "We don't yet know the nature of Ezzalzouli's injury. He went to the hospital for examinations, and we hope it's not serious."
He added, "When we reach the end of the season, with this heat, in addition to the pitch condition which didn't help us much, all of that contributes to injuries. We will know more tonight or tomorrow about the nature of his injury, and we wish him a speedy recovery."
It is worth noting that initial examinations undergone by Morocco national team player Abde Ezzalzouli, following his knee injury during the friendly match against Norway, have raised doubts about his availability for the 2026 World Cup. The results of an MRI scan are awaited to accurately determine the nature of the injury and the potential duration of his absence.
