
Brazil FA Confirms Neymar's Improvement Five Days Before Morocco Clash
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has issued an official statement providing an update on Neymar's injury and his potential participation in the opening matches of the 2026 World Cup campaign.
The CBF released an update on Neymar's physical condition following examinations conducted today, Monday, in the United States.
According to the Brazilian national team's medical staff, Neymar has shown "significant improvement" in his recovery from a grade two muscle injury in his right leg, which he sustained while playing for his club, Santos.
The CBF statement read: "Neymar underwent an MRI scan, and the examinations showed significant improvement in his condition, within the expected rates. The player will continue the recovery and physical preparation program established by the Brazilian national team's medical staff."
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team will face Brazil at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey next Saturday (23:00 GMT+1) in their opening match of Group C in the 2026 World Cup.
