
Jordan Announces Delayed Morning Work Hours During World Cup
The Jordanian Prime Ministry announced a delay in the start of working hours in the country on days when the national team plays its matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Jordanian Prime Ministry published a statement on "X" (formerly Twitter), which read: "Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan has decided to delay the start of official morning working hours on days when our national football team plays its matches in the World Cup finals until 10:00 AM."
The statement continued: "According to the decision, official working hours on June 17th, 23rd, and 28th will begin at 10:00 AM."
It concluded: "The decision aims to enable citizens to follow and support our national football team during its historic participation in this tournament."
It is worth noting that Jordan is in Group 10 alongside Argentina, Austria, and Algeria, and will play its first match on June 17th against Austria.
