Morocco Selects New Jersey as 2026 World Cup Base Alongside Brazil, Senegal, and Haiti
The Moroccan national team has determined its base of operations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
According to "The Athletic" website, the Moroccan national team, led by coach Mohamed Ouahbi, has chosen New Jersey state as its base, alongside three other national teams: Senegal, Brazil, and Haiti.
The source indicated that this region is one of the most sought-after areas for hosting training camps among the three host nations, rivaled only by Kansas City, which will host the training camps for Argentina, England, the Netherlands, and Algeria.
The Moroccan national team, which reached the semi-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, will rely on the "Pingry" school as its training headquarters. Notably, this school previously hosted a training camp during the 1994 World Cup when the Italian national team chose to train there, subsequently reaching the final of that edition.
