FRMF Announces Support for Infantino's Re-election as FIFA President

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has issued an official statement announcing its support for the re-election of Gianni Infantino as President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) for a new term. This announcement was made under the direction of FRMF President Fouzi Lekjaa, in an official letter addressed to FIFA's General Secretariat.

In its letter, the Federation affirmed its great pride in its relationship with FIFA, commending the efforts made by Infantino and his team to develop football at both African and global levels. The FRMF believes that this dynamic has contributed to strengthening the sport's presence and expanding its horizons, whether in terms of competitiveness, infrastructure, or support programs.

The statement also highlighted that Morocco's support for this nomination stems from a firm conviction regarding the importance of continuity in leading the international federation, especially amidst the transformations in global football. The Federation emphasized its desire to continue fruitful cooperation with FIFA, serving the development of national football and enhancing its continental and international standing.

The decision on this nomination is expected to be made during FIFA's General Assembly, which will be hosted in Rabat on March 18, 2027.
