Iraq PM to National Team Before World Cup: 'You Must Find a Solution for This One Called Haaland'
Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq, highlighted the threat posed by Erling Haaland, the Manchester City and Norway national team striker, ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
During his reception of the Iraqi national team, Al-Sudani stated: "We want to prove that we deserve to participate in the World Cup, even though our group is considered one of the toughest. It includes two-time world champions France, in addition to Norway, and you must find a solution for this one named Haaland."
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi national team successfully qualified for the World Cup for the second time in its history after defeating Bolivia (2-1) in the global playoff for the tournament.
Iraq is placed in Group 9 of the World Cup, alongside France, Senegal, and Norway.
