Teknaouti: "Sometimes You Don't Get a Warm Welcome, But We Didn't Let That Affect Us"
Raja Teknaouti, the Al-Jaish Al-Malaki (FAR Rabat) goalkeeper, affirmed that his team was not affected by the unsportsmanlike incidents witnessed during their match against Egyptian club Al Ahly in the final round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
Teknaouti stated in press remarks: "These things happen in football. Sometimes you find people who welcome you well, and sometimes they don't welcome you well, but we didn't pay attention to that. We focused on what was important, and thank God we achieved qualification."
He continued: "I thank the players for their performance. All components of the club knew the importance of this match, especially when you play against a big team like Al Ahly. We knew it was essential to return with qualification, and thank God, our Lord did not disappoint us."
Regarding the traveling FAR Rabat supporters, he added: "We thank them very much for coming. Seeing them with us gave us great motivation, and we hope to continue in the same vein and achieve what we want together."
