Belamri: "We Played Against a Strong Team, AS FAR, and We Will Prepare for Any Quarter-Final Opponent"

Al Ahly player Youssef Belamri affirmed that the goalless draw (0-0) against AS FAR in the final round of the CAF Champions League group stage was by no means easy. He expressed his delight at finishing this phase at the top of the group.

Following the match, the Moroccan player stated in a press interview: "Qualification was not easy. We played against a strong team, AS FAR, and thank God for securing the top spot."

He continued: "We dedicate this qualification to our fans. Al Ahly will prepare with full strength to face any opponent in the quarter-finals, and our goal is to win and achieve the title."

It is worth noting that the match, held at Cairo International Stadium, witnessed unfortunate acts of violence involving Al Ahly fans and security forces, with players from AS FAR and some Moroccan supporters being among the victims.
