
AS FAR Secures CAF Champions League Quarter-Final Spot Amid Unrest in Goalless Draw with Al Ahly
FAR Rabat has qualified for the CAF Champions League quarter-finals after a goalless draw (0-0) away from home against Egyptian side Al Ahly. The match, played on Sunday, was part of the final round of the group stage.
The goalless draw dominated the encounter held at Cairo International Stadium. The match was marred by unfortunate incidents, including attacks on the military team by security personnel, in addition to players being pelted with bottles and projectiles.
With this draw, FAR Rabat successfully advanced to the quarter-finals, securing second place in Group B with 9 points. Al Ahly, meanwhile, topped the group standings with 10 points.
