Speaking at the press conference ahead of the semi-final clash against Nigeria, Regragui stated, "We know that the early rounds involve trying out some things, and also attempting to give playing minutes to certain players, such as Hakimi and Ighaman, and sometimes we take risks with some decisions."
The coach of the "Atlas Lions" added that the match against Cameroon marked a turning point in terms of public perception, highlighting its positive impact on the fans. He said, "The match against Cameroon reassured many people, but for us, it depends on the opponent. For example, facing Cameroon in the quarter-finals raises the level of motivation and pushes you to elevate your performance. After the match against Cameroon, the fans felt happy because they saw a team competing on the pitch."
Regarding the upcoming match against Nigeria, the Moroccan national team coach emphasized the strength of their opponent: "We will face a good team that is progressing strongly in the tournament and has managed to overcome the disappointment of failing to qualify for the World Cup. We are in good shape and are working to confirm what we have been working on for years."
