Nigeria Coach on Defensive Play: "If We Have to Park the Bus Against Morocco, I Will Do It"
Nigeria coach Eric Chelle praised the Moroccan national team ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash, affirming that if he deems it necessary to play a defensive strategy, he will do so.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Chelle was asked about the similarities in playing style between Algeria and Morocco. He stated: "Algeria is a great team with strengths and weaknesses, and the same applies to Morocco; they are a strong team."
He added: "We must find the weaknesses we can exploit. Algeria and Morocco are not from the same school; there is a difference between coaches Regragui and Petković. We have to work to win this match tomorrow. If I find that we have to park the bus (retreat into defense), then I will do it."
It is worth noting that Nigeria will face Morocco tomorrow, Wednesday, at 21:00 GMT+1, in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, the capital.
