Mohamed Salah After AFCON Quarter-Final Qualification: "All Matches Are Extremely Difficult"

Mohamed Salah, captain of the Egyptian national team, affirmed that the victory over Benin was a result of a good team performance despite the close level between the two sides. This came after "The Pharaohs" qualified for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025" following their 3-1 win in the Round of 16.

Salah stated in a press release: "Physically, it can be said that we were better than the Benin national team despite the close level between the two sides. All matches in the Africa Cup of Nations are extremely difficult, and there are no teams losing by 4 or 5 goals. I am happy that we managed to secure the win in the end."

The "Pharaohs" star pointed out that most of the national team players play in the local league, adding: "For me, I never dreamed of reaching this level of play; it is a great honor for me."

The Egyptian national team continues its journey in the tournament after qualifying for the quarter-finals following their 3-1 victory over Benin. They will now face the winner of the match between Nigeria and Mozambique.
