Liverpool Recovers Winning Form as Salah Becomes Third-Highest Goal Contributor in Premier League History

Liverpool returned to winning ways after defeating visitors Brighton 2-0 on Saturday at Anfield in a Premier League Matchday 16 fixture.

The match also marked the return of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who missed the previous Champions League match against Internazionale after being disciplined by the club for his statements expressing anger over being benched for three consecutive games. Salah started on the bench today before coming on in the 26th minute, replacing Joe Gomez.

The Reds opened the scoring early through Frenchman Hugo Ekitike in the first minute. The same player then netted his second goal in the 60th minute.

With this victory, Liverpool increased their points tally to 26, climbing to sixth place after drawing their last two consecutive matches. Brighton, meanwhile, remain on 23 points, occupying ninth position.
