Salah Breaks Silence: "I Can't Accept Being Benched for Three Games... It Seems Someone Doesn't Want Me at Liverpool"
Egyptian international Mohamed Salah has broken his silence regarding his current situation at Liverpool this season, having been benched for three consecutive matches, a situation he finds unacceptable. Following today's 3-3 draw against Leeds United, a match in which Salah remained on the substitutes' bench for the entire duration, he spoke out in media statements. Salah said, "I can't believe what's happening, I can't believe I'm sitting on the bench for 90 minutes. I think it's the third time I've remained on the bench. It's the first time in my career."
He continued, directing criticism towards the club's management. Salah stated, "I think it's very clear that someone will blame me. The club promised me a lot this summer, but I've been on the bench for three games. I can't say they've kept their promises."
Regarding his relationship with coach Arne Slot, Salah commented, "I have said repeatedly that my relationship with the coach is good, but suddenly our relationship was cut off. I don't know why. It seems someone doesn't want me at the club. I do not accept this situation."
