Liverpool's Struggles Continue; Moroccan Talbi Scores Second Premier League Goal

Liverpool's run of poor results continued as they settled for a 1-1 draw at their home ground, Anfield, on Wednesday evening against visitors Sunderland. The match was part of Week 14 of the English Premier League.

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah was on the bench for the second consecutive game but was introduced by manager Arne Slot at the start of the second half, replacing Cody Gakpo.

Sunderland took the lead in the 67th minute through Moroccan Shamseddine Talbi, who scored his second Premier League goal of the season. Liverpool equalized in the 81st minute when Florian Wirtz's shot deflected off defender Nordi Mukiele, resulting in an own goal.

With this result, Liverpool dropped to eighth place with 22 points. Salah's teammates have secured only two wins in their last nine matches, alongside one draw and six defeats. Sunderland, meanwhile, sits in seventh place with 23 points.
