Chaibi: 'Algeria Must Beat Anyone to Win AFCON Title'

Algerian national team player Fares Chaibi discussed his teammates' readiness to face DR Congo in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025".

Responding to a question about the strength of the Congolese team, which some consider a tough opponent for Algeria in the knockout stage, Chaibi stated: "We are also a very strong team, aren't we? As I said before, perhaps we didn't get the best draw compared to some other group winners, but we are Algeria, and it's clear we came here to bring back the trophy."

He further added: "If you want to win the title, you have to beat everyone, whether you face Congo or any other team; we must overcome everyone."

The Algerian national team is scheduled to play DR Congo next Tuesday, with kick-off set for 5:00 PM (17:00 GMT +1).
