Benmahmoud: 'Fans are the Real Heroes; We Want Them to Trust These Youngsters'

Rachid Benmahmoud, assistant coach to Morocco's Walid Regragui, affirmed that the Moroccan fans are the true heroes of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament. He emphasized that there is no room for errors from the national team players in the upcoming stages.

The Moroccan national team secured its qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 after a three-nil victory over Zambia, topping Group A with seven points.

In post-match press remarks, Benmahmoud stated: "The fans are the real heroes. We want them to give confidence to these youngsters, and the fans are the ones making this event a success. Before, we were allowed to make mistakes, but now we are not allowed to make any errors, and I believe we are on the right track."
