Brahim Diaz continues his remarkable performance for the Moroccan national team at the Africa Cup of Nations, having etched his name into the tournament's historical records by scoring in three consecutive group stage matches.

Diaz is now only the second player in Morocco's history to score in three consecutive AFCON matches, a feat previously achieved by the late national football legend Ahmed Fares between the 1972 and 1976 editions of the tournament.

Diaz scored his third goal of the tournament during Morocco's match against Zambia in the third round of the group stage. He netted the Atlas Lions' second goal in the first half of the encounter, which took place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The Real Madrid player had previously opened his scoring account in the Africa Cup of Nations with goals against Comoros (2-0) and Mali (1-1). He then continued his impressive scoring run in the third match, bringing his total tally to three goals.
