
Comoros President: "Morocco and Comoros are Sister Nations, But I Hope We Win; Tonight I'll Sleep Peacefully"
President Azali Assoumani of Comoros affirmed that the match against the Moroccan national team, in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, would have a friendly character due to the fraternal ties between the two countries, while expressing his wishes for his country's team to win.
Assoumani stated in press remarks: "It is our duty to be here physically to support this team that has honored the nation, and we will do everything we can to encourage them to progress."
He continued: "Regarding tomorrow's match, I will be present, and I hope it will be a friendly game between the two teams, because Morocco and Comoros are sister nations, but I hope we win."
He added: "I believe the players have given their full physical and moral energy, and this is what has reassured me. I am happy to be here, because this is a duty, and honestly, I am now at ease, and I will sleep peacefully tonight. I hope Comoros wins, and I hope the Moroccans win too."
It is worth noting that the match between the Moroccan national team and Comoros will take place tomorrow, Sunday, at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, starting at 8:00 PM (GMT+1). The opening ceremony will commence at 6:30 PM (18:30 GMT+1).
