Regragui: "We Had Disagreements with Clubs Over Player Releases, But Real Betis and Fenerbahçe Showed Great Flexibility"

Walid Regragui, head coach of the Moroccan national team, admitted that some clubs had disagreements with him regarding the release of players until the very last moment.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Comoros match, the national coach indicated that this is part of the nature of negotiations during such periods.

Regragui added that he holds great respect for both Real Betis and Fenerbahçe, who showed clear flexibility in dealing with the national team and expedited the release procedures for their players, Amrabat, Ezzalzouli, and En-Nesyri.

The coach clarified that the most important thing was that all players were present last Monday without any issues, which contributed to the team's stability and their good preparation before the start of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
