Africa Cup of Nations Opening Ceremony Set for Sunday (18:30 GMT +1), Organizers Announce

The Organizing Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations finals has announced the start time for the opening ceremony of the continental football event, to be held at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

A statement from the Federation read: "The Organizing Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations finals announces that the opening ceremony for this football event, which will be hosted at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Sunday, December 21, 2025, will commence at 6:30 PM."

It added: "The Organizing Committee calls upon football fans attending the opening ceremony and the match between the national team and their Comoros counterpart to arrive early at the stadium."

The statement concluded: "The Organizing Committee informs that the gates of Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium will open starting at 2:00 PM, and it calls on all fans to adhere to the organizational instructions to ensure the smooth running of this football event."

The Organizing Committee also confirmed that a ticket is the only means allowing its holder access to the stadium, with the prerequisite of having an account on the "yalla'" application.
