Regragui: "Work Since 2022 Focused on Changing Mentality from Participation to Winning; Current Renaissance is Positive, Not Pressure"
Morocco national team coach Walid Regragui affirmed that he feels no pressure ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations. He noted that the work since 2022 has focused on changing the mentality from merely participating to aiming for victory, considering the current resurgence as positive rather than a source of pressure on the players.
Regragui added, during the press conference preceding the match against Comoros in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, that the team has embarked on this positive journey and intends to continue it. He emphasized that this "new Morocco" is not limited to football but encompasses all sectors under royal patronage.
The national team coach indicated that the squad does not want to hide behind excuses, despite the high expectations and external pressure to win the title. However, he believes this is not a reason to view things as difficult, highlighting numerous positive aspects that motivate the team to persevere.
