Wydad Inquires About Salah Mohsen from Al Masry Ahead of AFCON

Egyptian striker Salah Mohsen, who plays for Al Masry Al Port Saidi, has emerged as a target for Wydad AC. The Moroccan club is keen to strengthen its attacking options during the upcoming winter transfer window, especially with Mohsen's anticipated participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with the Egyptian national team.

Egyptian media reports indicate that Wydad's management has informally approached Al Masry officials regarding a potential move for Mohsen. However, sources within the Port Saidi club emphasized that no official offer has been received, stating that current discussions are limited to indirect contacts from player agents, without any formal approach from the Moroccan club.

The same sources also revealed that Al Masry's management considers renewing Salah Mohsen's contract a top priority. This comes in light of his strong performances this season, where he has established himself as a key figure in the team's attack. The club is also in the process of initiating contract renewal talks with several other players whose agreements are set to expire at the end of the current season.

Salah Mohsen's current contract with Al Masry runs until the end of the 2026-2027 season, having joined the club in January 2024.
