Jordan national team coach Jamal Salami affirmed that the medical staff is not responsible for Yazan Al-Naimat's injury, explaining that the doctor fulfilled his duty from the very first moment.

Salami stated in the press conference: “The doctor is not responsible, as when he examined Yazan, he knew he had an injury.”

He continued: “The injury cannot be fully assessed at that very moment. The doctor requested his substitution, but Yazan insisted on playing, and events unfolded rapidly at that point.”

He added: “Yazan sustained the injury in the seventh minute of the Iraq match and returned for a few minutes before being substituted again. It was later announced that he had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear.”

Salami then spoke about French coach Hervé Renard, saying: “Renard is a coach who deserves respect, and my relationship with him is very special. There is mutual respect between us, but good relationships have nothing to do with tomorrow's match.”

He continued: “We have many things in common with the Saudi national team, but tomorrow's match will be a different story, and we are working to create new history.”

Regarding the possibility of facing Morocco in the final, Salami said: “My focus is solely on tomorrow's match. We will play against a team that excels in defense, attack, and midfield.”

He concluded: “The Saudi national team includes some of the best players in Asia, and the return of Mohammed Kanno to his top form increases their strength. Therefore, our full concentration is now on the match against Saudi Arabia, and only after that can we think about the final.”
