Jordan's national team has secured its place in the Arab Cup quarterfinals after defeating Kuwait 3-1 on Saturday. The match was part of the second round of the group stage.
Mohannad Abu Taha opened the scoring for "Al-Nashama" in the 17th minute. Ahmed Salameh Al-Rousan doubled the lead around the 49th minute, and Ali Olwan sealed the victory with a penalty kick in the 90+6th minute. Kuwait's lone goal came from Yousef Nasser in the 84th minute.
This win solidified Jordan's position at the top of Group C with six points. Egypt follows with one point, ahead of Kuwait on goal difference, while the UAE is in last place with no points.
