Al-Salami on Arab Cup Draw: "I Hope Not to Face Morocco... That's My Only Request"

Jordan national team coach Jamal Al-Salami has once again spoken about Al-Nashama's ambitions in the Arab Cup. He affirmed that the team enters the competition with a clear desire to reach the second round despite the group's difficulty, emphasizing that the opening match against the UAE will be crucial for their campaign.

Al-Salami stated: "Regarding the draw, I had one request: not to be placed with Morocco. We can play against any team except Morocco (laughing). On the other hand, my desire remains to advance to the second round."

He added: "Since my arrival, I have been subjected to criticism, but I am very receptive to it. My hope is that luck will be on our side in the first match against the strong UAE national team, which is not talked about much, but for us, they are a formidable opponent."

He continued: "We know that the results of opening matches are extremely important, and we will try to give our best to achieve a good start."

He concluded: "The players are aware of the magnitude of the responsibility, and we seek to present a positive image of the Jordanian national team in this edition."
