All From Asia: Three Teams Qualify for Arab Cup Quarter-Finals After Second Group Stage Round

After just two rounds of the FIFA Qatar 2025 Arab Cup, three Arab national teams from Asia have successfully secured early qualification for the quarter-finals. Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq have all advanced, clearly demonstrating the strength of Asian Arab teams in this edition of the tournament.

The Jordanian national team was the first to guarantee progression, opening their campaign with an important 2-1 victory over the UAE. They continued their impressive run with another win, defeating Kuwait 3-1, to reach the next stage with a perfect six points and without needing to wait for the third round.

The Saudi Arabian national team began the tournament with a valuable 2-1 victory against Oman, then solidified their strong presence with a second win, beating Comoros 3-1. They too secured qualification after two rounds, delivering performances that impressed observers.

The Iraqi national team, for its part, displayed consistent form and achieved an ideal start. They secured a 2-1 victory over Bahrain in the first round, then followed it up by defeating Sudan 2-0 in the second round, deservedly joining the ranks of the qualified teams.

Meanwhile, the Moroccan national team is also close to securing their qualification. A draw in their final match will be enough to reach the quarter-finals, following strong performances in the first round that have boosted their chances of competing in the advanced stages of the tournament.

Attention now turns to the third round, which will determine the remaining qualification spots. The three already-qualified group leaders will enter their final group stage matches with complete comfort, having secured their progression early.
