Amouta: "I Suffered from Unprofessional Treatment with the Jordanian National Team and Decided to Leave Due to Discomfort"
Jordanian national coach Hussein Amouta revealed the reasons behind his departure from coaching the Jordanian national team, confirming that he suffered from unprofessional treatment from certain parties.
Speaking during the 'Ya Arab' podcast, Amouta stated: “I was the one who requested to leave, and I was insistent on departing immediately after the Asian Cup.”
He added: “I was not 100 percent comfortable, and my family did not join me in Jordan. There were difficult circumstances, both in preparing the national team and in how I was treated by some journalists and administrative members. There was a lack of professionalism in the dealings.”
Amouta concluded: “I was demanding seriousness in dealings and preparation, but I did not find that in certain aspects. Therefore, I decided to leave before the start of the Asian Cup, but after receiving calls from higher authorities who asked me to continue, I felt obliged and completed the first stage of the World Cup qualifiers with them.”
