Real Madrid Considers Alonso Sacking If They Stumble Against Manchester City; Klopp and Zidane Leading Candidates

Reports indicate that Real Madrid is considering searching for a replacement for manager Xabi Alonso following the Royal Club's 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo last Sunday in Week 16 of La Liga.

According to Spanish newspaper "El Mundo," Real Madrid's management is contemplating sacking Xabi Alonso should the team falter in their match against Manchester City next Wednesday (21:00 GMT+1).

The same source clarified that Germany's Jürgen Klopp and France's Zinedine Zidane are the top candidates to succeed Alonso, as the relationship between the dressing room and the coach has reportedly reached an irreparable stage, and Real Madrid is already looking for an alternative.

Manager Xabi Alonso's team is struggling, having secured only one victory in their last five league matches. They are also set to host Manchester City next Wednesday in the Champions League.
