Former Barcelona President Gaspart: "Pérez is the Negreira of Spanish Football, and Real Madrid has been Negreira for 100 Years!"

Former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart strongly responded to Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez following the latter's criticism of the Catalan club, asserting that "the only real fraud here is him."

Gaspart's sharp remarks came after Barcelona's 3-1 victory over Alavés. He did not shy away from questions regarding Pérez's criticisms of Barcelona concerning the Negreira case and allegations of refereeing assistance, as he left the honorary box at Camp Nou.

In statements made to "SER Catalunya," Gaspart directly accused the Real Madrid president, stating: "The Negreira of Spanish football is Mr. Florentino Pérez. Real Madrid has been Negreira for 100 years, and Florentino Pérez has been clearly playing the role of Negreira for 25 years. The only fraud here is Florentino Pérez."

Gaspart went further, arguing that Pérez was questioning the legitimacy of Barcelona's recent achievements, which he interpreted as a direct attack on the club. He explicitly declared: "He is implying that Barcelona won titles it didn't deserve, and this means Messi is worthless. The real fraud is him (Pérez). He controls everything, and every now and then he talks about Negreira and Barcelona to attack us."
