Ounahi's Goal: Girona's 1-1 Draw with Real Madrid Hands Barcelona La Liga Lead

Real Madrid drew 1-1 with Girona in their match this Sunday evening, part of the 14th round of the Spanish La Liga.

The encounter at Montilivi Stadium saw Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi start and play until the 83rd minute, while his compatriot Brahim Díaz remained on Real Madrid's bench.

Ounahi scored Girona's opening goal in the 45th minute, before Kylian Mbappé netted the equalizer for Real Madrid in the 67th minute from a penalty kick.

With this result, Real Madrid, in second place with 33 points, missed the chance to snatch the top spot in the Spanish League from Barcelona, who have 34 points. Girona, meanwhile, remained in 18th place with 12 points.
