Morocco Reserve Team Doctor: Bencherki Out for 2-3 Weeks with Hamstring Injury; Hanouri's Return Depends on Recovery

Dr. Mohamed Reda Bilal, the physician for the Morocco Reserve National Team, has reassured fans regarding the health status of the squad members, confirming that most players are in good condition following their recent match against Comoros in the opening round of the Arab Cup group stage.

Speaking to the official website of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Bilal stated: “Thank God, the group of players is in good health, with the exception of some physical fatigue that we are working to address in coordination with the medical staff and physical trainer, to accelerate the team’s physical recovery.”

He added: “Regarding player Hamza Hanouri, he suffered a sprain in the ligaments of his lower foot during the final training session before the match, following a collision with a teammate. Initial examinations and X-rays confirmed the type of injury, and his duration of absence will depend on the speed of his recovery.”

Bilal continued: “As for Achraf Bencharki, he joined the national team already suffering from an injury sustained in Al Ahly’s match against AS FAR. After conducting the necessary examinations, a hamstring injury was diagnosed, which will rule him out of the tournament for a period ranging from two to three weeks. He is officially removed from the squad list.”

Bilal concluded his remarks by saying: “We hope that no new injuries will occur within the group, and that we will continue our journey with confidence, achieving results that will bring joy to the Moroccan fans.”
