Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and head of the local organizing committee for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), affirmed that Morocco's success in hosting this edition will be an achievement extending beyond national borders to encompass the entire African continent. Lekjaa's remarks came during a meeting held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, which brought together African ambassadors accredited to Rabat, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Interior and various relevant agencies.

During the meeting, Lekjaa presented a detailed overview of the ongoing preparations, emphasizing that Morocco is approaching this continental event with a comprehensive strategy rooted in royal directives. He stated: "Morocco is handling this continental event with a comprehensive vision based on high royal directives, which focus on strengthening the Kingdom's African dimension."

In this context, Lekjaa announced the establishment of a special cell for communication and coordination between the local committee and African diplomatic missions. This initiative aims to streamline procedures related to the movement and accommodation of national teams and to overcome various organizational challenges.

Lekjaa reiterated the continental significance of the event, explaining: "The Kingdom considers this tournament to belong to all of Africa, and Morocco is determined to ensure its success in line with His Majesty the King's directives and the aspirations of the continent."
