Wydad AC coach Mohamed Amine Benhashim affirmed that his team will approach their match against Tanzania's Azam FC in the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage with great confidence. He highlighted the "Red Castle's" extensive experience in continental competitions, owing to their numerous participations in the CAF Champions League.

During the pre-match press conference, Benhashim stated, "I believe Wydad possesses significant experience in African competitions, and that is a certainty. We are accustomed to participating in the Champions League, and now we find ourselves in the Confederation Cup with a clear objective: to win the title."

He added, "I have players with vast experience, both in Africa and in the national league. I also have experience with Wydad, having reached the Champions League final in 2023. Therefore, I believe we are ready today to fight and go as far as possible in this competition."

Benhashim continued, "We will face a strong team with clear principles and specific strategies. They have a good attack and an excellent midfield, and they try to circulate the ball and utilize the full width of the pitch. They also possess technically skilled players. We, too, have our own playing style, and we will try to implement it tomorrow, aiming to impose our game and secure three points, God willing."

Benhashim further elaborated, "In this group, I believe we also have our chances. The group includes Azam, Nairobi, and Maniema. We watched the last match between Maniema and Azam and observed their playing style and capabilities. We now have a clear idea of the level of all teams in the group, and I think we have every opportunity to qualify."

He concluded, "Our goal is to secure qualification so we can manage the rest of the competitions awaiting us. It's clear there are strong teams; we saw Maniema's level and how they played. Therefore, the mission will be difficult, but we will try to achieve victory and earn the three points tomorrow."
