
Azam FC Rallies Fans for Wydad Clash, Organizes Special Trips for 217 MAD
Tanzanian club Azam FC has announced the launch of a wide-ranging campaign to mobilize its supporters ahead of their clash against Wydad AC. The match is scheduled for next Friday at Amani Stadium in Zanzibar, as part of the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
The club confirmed in its statement that its sales and marketing department, in cooperation with the leadership of its fan branches, has arranged an organized trip for supporters to Zanzibar. This initiative aims to provide the necessary backing for the team during this crucial encounter, which, according to the club's statement, requires strong support to boost player morale.
Azam FC has set the round-trip cost at 217 Moroccan Dirhams (MAD), which also includes the match ticket. The trip is scheduled to depart on Friday morning at 3:00 AM from Dar es Salaam Port. Registration and payment can be made via a dedicated number provided by the club's management.
Azam's statement also noted that "Dar es Salaam city will journey towards Zanzibar" on match day, in a clear call for fans to stand behind the team in their match against Wydad AC, the representative of Moroccan football.
